By initiating photo editing services with Val Rodgers (“the Editor”), you agree to the terms outlined below. These terms are intended to ensure fairness, transparency, and mutual trust between the Editor and the Client.
2. Payment Terms
a. You agree to pay the estimate provided to you at the time your project is submitted.
b. Cost may be adjusted based on project complexity or turnaround time.
c. Any changes to the cost will be communicated and approved before work on the project begins.
d. Full payment is due promptly upon completion of the project unless otherwise agreed in writing.
e. Copyright and usage rights for all completed images remain with the Editor until full payment is received.
f. Non-payment grants the Editor full and irrevocable permission to use the project in their portfolio, on social media, or for any other marketing purposes.
3. Ownership & Permissions
a. By uploading or submitting images to the Editor, you confirm that you either own the rights to the images or have explicit permission from the rightful owner to have them modified.
b. The Editor is not liable for any legal issues resulting from unauthorized use of the images sent by the Client.
4. Project Completion
a. Scheduled or discussed completion times are an approximation based on availability at that time.
b. While every effort is made to meet agreed deadlines, delays may occur due to factors beyond the Editor’s control.
5. Refunds & Cancellations
a. Clients may cancel a project prior to completion to receive a refund if prior payment was made.
b. Clients may request a refund or decline to send payment if they can articulate their dissatisfaction with the final results within 48 hours of the project being dispatched to them.
c. After 48 hours, any refunds will be at the Editor’s discretion.
7. Intellectual Property
a. The content and design of this website, including text and images, are the property of Val Rodgers. They may not be copied, reproduced, or redistributed without written permission.
8. Limitation of Liability
The Editor is not liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from the use of these services, nor for delays or failures caused by factors beyond her control (e.g., power outages, natural disasters, illness, or third-party service disruptions).
